History and Foundation
The Pulenta family has wine in their DNA since Angelo Pulenta and Palmina Spinsanti arrived in Argentina from Italy in 1902. After several generations in the large-scale wine industry (they were owners of the historic Peñaflor Winery), brothers Eduardo and Hugo Pulenta founded Pulenta Estate in 2002. The goal was to create a boutique project focused exclusively on limited series and wines of the highest quality.
Architectural Details
Located in Alto Agrelo, the winery features sober and modern architecture with straight lines, designed to discreetly integrate into the landscape dominated by the “La Zulema” Estate vineyards and the Andes Mountains. Its large windows in the tasting rooms frame the mountains as if they were works of art, creating an exceptional tasting environment.
What to expect on a visit?
Pulenta Estate is characterized by a “boutique hospitality” approach. Tours are conducted in small groups and in a very peaceful environment. The tour covers the vineyards, the production areas, and the underground cellars. The experience culminates with an immersive tasting that stands out for the professionalism of its guides and the intimate setting.
Their Wines
They produce elegant and highly complex wines, with their Malbec, Cabernet Franc (one of the most acclaimed in Argentina), and Chardonnay lines standing out, such as the recent “La Flor” project. They have a strong commitment to sustainability: 100% of the energy consumed comes from 250 solar panels, and they have strict water management and recycling programs.
